Former Sri Lanka captain and wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Sangakkara will take on dual responsibilities at the Rajasthan Royals after being named the franchise’s head coach for IPL 2026. Sangakkara, who served as the Director of Cricket in the previous season, replaces Rahul Dravid and will now lead the team in its pursuit of a second IPL title.The 48-year-old had earlier coached the Royals from 2021 to 2024 before Dravid took charge for the 2025 season.
