Kapil Sharma's latest film, 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2', has earned an estimated Rs 7.20 crore during its opening weekend. While this is significantly less than its predecessor and has been overshadowed by the success of 'Dhurandhar' starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, the movie has still managed to become Sharma's third highest-grossing film.
Despite facing considerable competition, 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2' showed promising Sunday occupancy rates, suggesting potential for continued growth. The Anukalp Goswami-directed film also stars Manjot Singh, Tridha Choudhury, Ayesha Khan, Parul Gulati, Hira Warina, and Asrani.

In comparison, the first 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' film had a much stronger opening weekend, raking in Rs 28.8 crore and eventually achieving 'hit' status with total gross earnings of approximately Rs 67.47 crore.

Sunday's occupancy rates showed positive trends. Morning shows started slowly at 9.45%, but afternoon showings rose to 41.07% occupancy, peaking at 59.70% during the evening. Night shows experienced a slight decrease, settling at 50.87%.

Industry reports indicate that 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2' is struggling at the box office due to the exceptional performance of 'Dhurandhar'. The Aditya Dhar-directed film completed its first week with an impressive Rs 207.25 crore net and followed it up with a substantial Rs 144.5 crore in its second weekend. This dominance has significantly affected newer releases, including 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2'.

With its Rs 7.20 crore collection, 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2' has already become Kapil Sharma's third highest-grossing film. It is now close to surpassing 'Firangi', which earned an estimated Rs 10.21 crore, for the second spot. 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' remains Sharma's highest-earning film, with a lifetime net collection of Rs 49.98 crore.
