Amazon has unexpectedly put its Kindle e-reader lineup back on sale just in time for holiday shopping, offering savings of up to $140 on select models.

Just in time for the gift-giving season, Amazon is offering discounts on its Kindle e-reader lineup once again. After what many believed was the final sale of the year during Black Friday, savings have returned, presenting another opportunity to snag a Kindle at a reduced price.

As of December 12th, the entire Kindle family is back on sale. The entry-level Kindle can be found for $89.99. For those seeking more advanced features, the Kindle Paperwhite is also discounted, and substantial savings can be found on the Kindle Scribe.

While the current discounts aren't quite as deep as those seen during Black Friday (prices are approximately $10 higher across the board), they still offer compelling value, particularly for those looking to purchase a Kindle as a holiday gift. During Black Friday, the basic Kindle dropped to $79.99, and the Paperwhite was available for $124.99.

For instance, the Kindle Paperwhite, a favorite among e-reader enthusiasts, is currently marked down to $134.99, reflecting a 16% savings from its usual $159.99 price. The standard Kindle, an excellent choice for budget-conscious buyers, is available for $89.99, making it the only e-reader in Amazon's lineup currently priced below $100.

The most significant savings can be found on the Kindle Scribe (64GB), now available for $309.99, a substantial $140 reduction from its regular $449.99 price tag. Given the unpredictable nature of these deals, acting quickly is advisable to secure your desired Kindle at a discounted price.
