Jailer 2: Fan-favourite character confirmed to return in the sequel

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer was a monstrous blockbuster at the ticket windows. After a series of flops, Thalaivar showed his box office rage with this flick directed by Nelson. After Rajini, Varman character played by Vinayakan, became the most-loved character among the audiences. It is after Jailer, Vinayakan gained widespread attention among the audiences.
In a recent interview, Vinayakan confirmed that he will appear in the sequel as well, but he refused to provide any further details. “Varman is the favourite comedy character that I have done so far, even though I’m the antagonist. Yes, I’m part of Jailer2. The team said not to reveal anything beyond this. So I can’t reveal what I’m gonna do in Part-2, but I will be there.”
Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal will reprise their roles from the first part, and the latter will start shooting for Jailer 2 this month. As stated by Rajinikanth, the second part will hit the big screens in June 2026. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film features music by Anirudh.
