The first player in the auction from the capped batters set was an Australian opener, but he went unsold at his base price of Rs. 2 crore after receiving no bids.
Next up was South African veteran David Miller. After an initial delay, Delhi Capitals started the bidding at his base price of Rs. 2 crore, securing the player without competition from other teams.
New Zealand's Devon Conway, who previously played for Chennai Super Kings, also went unsold after receiving no bids at his Rs. 2 crore base price.
An out-of-favor player with a base price of Rs. 75 lakh also went unsold.
**Bidding War for Cameron Green**
Bidding began at Rs. 2 crore by Mumbai Indians for the 26-year-old Australian all-rounder Cameron Green. Rajasthan Royals quickly joined, raising the bid to Rs. 2.20 crore. Kolkata Knight Riders entered the fray at Rs. 2.60 crore, and RR responded, pushing the price to Rs. 3.40 crore, but KKR remained persistent.
The price quickly escalated past Rs. 5 crore as the two teams continued to battle. The bidding war drove the price past Rs. 9 crore, with no other team yet to enter the race. Rajasthan Royals, with a purse of just Rs. 16.05 crore, bowed out at Rs. 13.60 crore. KKR held the highest bid before CSK entered the bidding at Rs. 13.80 crore.

This year's auction presents a unique scenario, with teams having vastly different needs and budgets. Kolkata Knight Riders, with the largest purse (Rs. 64.3 crore) and numerous squad positions to fill (13, including 6 overseas), are expected to be aggressive. Chennai Super Kings, with Rs. 43.40 crore, is also anticipated to be a major player in the auction, planning a significant team revamp. Mumbai Indians, in contrast, have a largely settled core and a much smaller budget of Rs. 2.75 crore.
Franchises like Sunrisers Hyderabad (Rs. 25.50 crore) and Lucknow Super Giants (Rs. 22.95 crore) also possess considerable funds to influence the auction.
