Complete, updated list of players sold and unsold at the IPL 2026 auction. Cameron Green to KKR for ₹25.20 crore tops the sales.
The Indian Premier League auction in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Centre saw some intense bidding wars as teams filled their rosters for the 2026 season. Cameron Green emerged as the most expensive player of the day, with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) acquiring the Australian all-rounder for a staggering ₹25.20 crore.
Before Green's record-setting sale, a fierce battle unfolded between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and KKR. Green previously played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). KKR entered the auction with the highest budget at ₹64.30 crore, while CSK had ₹43.40 crore to spend.
Green's price tag makes him the third-most expensive player in IPL auction history, surpassed only by Rishabh Pant (₹27 lakh) and Shreyas Iyer (₹26.75 lakh). He now holds the distinction of being the costliest all-rounder and international player ever purchased at an IPL auction.
The auction also featured a familiar scenario when Venkatesh Iyer's name was called. RCB and KKR engaged in another bidding war, reminiscent of the previous year, for the Madhya Pradesh all-rounder. Ultimately, RCB secured Iyer's services for ₹7 crore.
KKR further bolstered their squad by acquiring Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana for ₹18 crore, intending to utilize him as a death-overs specialist.
The mini-auction includes 369 players available for purchase, with the ten franchises aiming to fill a total of 77 slots. Each team is permitted a maximum of 25 players in their squad, with a limit of eight overseas players.
