Punjab Kings' complete squad for IPL 2026, including analysis of their batting lineup, bowling attack, all-rounders, and wicket-keeping options after the auction.
The Punjab Kings have finalized their squad for the upcoming IPL 2026 season, and here's a breakdown of their roster.
**Batting:**
Punjab's batting lineup consists of five Indian players. Shreyas Iyer will captain the side and is expected to be a key component of their batting order. The other four batsmen are Nehal Wadhera, Harnoor Pannu, Pyla Avinash, and Shashank Singh.
**Wicket-keepers:**
Unlike many other teams, Punjab has opted for just two designated wicket-keepers: Prabhsimran Singh, who can also open the innings, and Vishnu Vinod.
**All-rounders:**
PBKS has a wealth of all-rounders, particularly from overseas. Four hail from Australia: Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Owen, Cooper Connolly, and Ben Dwarshuis. Azmatullah Omarzai from Afghanistan and Marco Jansen from South Africa round out the overseas contingent. The Indian all-rounders in the squad are Musheer Khan, Suryansh Shedge, and Priyansh Arya, who is also an opening batsman.
**Spin Bowlers:**
Their spin attack is spearheaded by the experienced Yuzvendra Chahal. Pravin Dubey and Vishal Nishad, both additions from the IPL 2026 auction, provide further spin options.
**Pace Bowlers:**
The pace bowling unit looks strong, featuring a blend of established and emerging talents. Arshdeep Singh, a leading T20I bowler for India, leads the attack. He is supported by Indian pacers Vyshak Vijaykumar and Yash Thakur. Lockie Ferguson of New Zealand and Xavier Bartlett of Australia provide the overseas pace bowling options.
