Live updates from the U19 Asia Cup 2025 final! Pakistan U19 stands at 149/2, with Minhas reaching his fifty. Khilan Patel claims the wicket of Usman Khan.

The Under-19 Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan is underway in Dubai, with Pakistan's innings progressing steadily. After India won the toss and elected to field, Pakistan finds themselves at 149/2.

Earlier, Kishan Kumar Singh opened the bowling for India, facing Sameer Minhas and Hamza Zahoor. Henil Patel then made the initial breakthrough, dismissing Zahoor for 18, caught by Ayush Mhatre. Usman Khan then joined Minhas at the crease, forming a partnership before Khilan Patel removed Usman for 35, with Henil Patel taking the catch.

Minhas has been the mainstay of the innings, reaching a stylish half-century off just 29 balls. He has played a range of impressive shots, including several boundaries and a six. Usman, at the other end, had been more watchful before his dismissal. Ahmed Hussain is now at the crease, having scored a single so far.

Here’s a look at some of the action during the innings:

  • Ayush Mhatre came into the attack. Minhas secured a single towards deep forward square. Hussain then added another single to long on.
  • Khilan Patel bowled a tight over, conceding just two runs off a wide delivery to Hussain.
  • Kanishk Chouhan's introduction to the attack saw Usman take a single. Minhas then dispatched the final ball for a boundary, resulting in seven runs from the over.
  • Khilan Patel continued, with Minhas taking a quick single. Hussain also managed a single. Minhas, after stepping down the track, edged the ball for a single.
  • Kanishk continued his round-the-wicket approach, with each of the batters managing a single, accumulating four runs in total.

Earlier in the innings, Deepesh Devendran replaced Kishan. Usman got two runs through the leg side and then a boundary, followed by a single. Minhas then secured another boundary through the legside.

As the innings unfolds, India will be aiming to restrict Pakistan to a manageable total, while Pakistan will be looking to build on Minhas's solid start and post a competitive score.
