Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen rejoined the group in training this Friday and appears ready to be available when Los Blancos visit Alavés on Sunday. Huijsen has been injured since the match against Elche with a minor calf injury.
Huijsen’s return would be extremely valuable now that Raúl Asencio and Antonio Rudiger are the team’s only available defenders, with Fran García, Álvaro Carreras, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ferland Mendy all out. Valverde will be expected to play in the right flank of the defensive line against Alavés.
Huijsen’s recent form has been shaky and he needs to bounce back from his previous performances in order to reestablish himself in the starting lineup.
