Hansi Flick assesses Barcelona's performance after their 2-0 win against Osasuna, highlighting Raphinha's contribution and discussing team dynamics.
Barcelona secured a 2-0 victory against Osasuna at home last night, with Raphinha scoring both goals.
The win puts Barcelona at 43 points in La Liga, provisionally seven points ahead of Real Madrid, who play Deportivo Alaves later today.
Hansi Flick addressed the media after the game, sharing his thoughts on Barcelona's dominance against Osasuna and expressing his satisfaction with the team's performance.
"We dominated the match, although our playing dynamic and speed with the ball in the first half weren't quite where they needed to be," Flick noted.
He added, "The second-half performance was much improved; we circulated the ball from side to side with the dynamic we're aiming for."
Flick emphasized the importance of both the result and the dominant display. "I'm happy because securing the three points was the priority. We controlled the game with 80% possession, which clarifies the overall picture."
He also acknowledged Osasuna's defensive approach: "They defended very deep, making it challenging for us to create opportunities."
During the post-game press conference, Flick further elaborated on the positive aspects of the win. "The most important thing was the three points, and I believe we controlled the match effectively. Our defensive performance was also very strong."
