IND vs SA: Head coach Gautam Gambhir lost his cool as Arshdeep Singh bowled seven wides to complete the 11th over against South Africa on Thursday in Mullanpur.

India coach Gautam Gambhir was visibly furious after Arshdeep Singh endured a tough outing in the second T20I against South Africa on Thursday, December 11. At the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Arshdeep delivered a marathon over that included seven wides.
The left-arm pacer needed 13 balls to complete the 11th over of the Proteas innings, conceding 18 runs and appearing completely off rhythm. The cameras panned towards Gambhir, who looked on helplessly and lost his cool as Arshdeep struggled to regain control.

Arshdeep Singh matched Afghanistan’s Naveen-ul-Haq record for bowling the most deliveries in a single over in T20I cricket among full-member nations. Naveen had set the record last year against Zimbabwe in Harare. This record also made Arshdeep the Indian bowler to bowl the longest over in T20I history.
HOW ARSHDEEP’S OVER WENT BY
Arshdeep endured a nightmare over that completely shifted the momentum and left the Indian camp visibly frustrated. It began in the worst possible way, with de Kock stepping down the track and launching a full delivery straight over the bowler’s head for a towering six. That blow immediately put Arshdeep under pressure.
India vs South Africa, 2nd T20I Updates
Trying to regain control, he pushed the length wider but missed the tramline, conceding a wide. A similar attempt brought another wide, and the troubles kept mounting as he sprayed a third one outside off, helping South Africa reach 100.
The collapse in control continued. A wide yorker missed its mark again, adding to the tally, and another wide followed as de Kock calmly watched the extras accumulate. With tension rising, Arshdeep finally managed a legal delivery, which de Kock pulled to deep mid-wicket for a single.
Markram then took strike, guiding a couple through wide long-on before pulling a shorter ball for another single. The over eventually ended with de Kock slicing a fuller delivery over point for one, but by then South Africa had collected 18 runs, including an astonishing seven wides, in an over Arshdeep will want to forget.
Arshdeep was impressive in the first T20I, where India defeated South Africa by 101 runs. He returned tidy figures of 2-0-14-2 as India bowled the Proteas out for 74 while defending 175.
