Tensions escalate in the Beckham family! A new report suggests Brooklyn blocked his parents, David and Victoria, on Instagram, igniting further speculation of a rift.
The Beckham family feud has taken a new turn, with claims that Brooklyn Beckham has blocked his parents, David and Victoria, on Instagram. This development follows reports in the Daily Mail alleging that David, 50, and Victoria, 51, retaliated against Brooklyn, 26, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30, by unfollowing them on the social media platform.
That said, the reality is a bit more complicated. Cruz Beckham, 20, stepped in to defend his parents, posting a denial on his Instagram stories. Sharing a screenshot of the Daily Mail's story, Cruz stated, "NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked... as did I.”
Cruz's statement intensifies the already strained relationship between David and Victoria Beckham and Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz. The Mirror reports that Nicola does not follow either of her husband's parents on Instagram, further fueling the speculation of a family rift.
Reportedly, discord between the two parties began in 2022, leading up to Brooklyn and Nicola's lavish wedding. One source of tension was Nicola's decision to wear a Valentino gown instead of a design by Victoria Beckham, though both Nicola and Victoria have publicly dismissed claims of a falling out. Despite attending the wedding three years prior, David and Victoria were notably absent from Brooklyn and Nicola's vow renewal ceremony in August, officiated by Nicola's father, Nelson Peltz, at the family's estate in Westchester, New York.
Adding to the speculation, Brooklyn also missed several significant events for his father this year. Most notably, he was not present on November 4th when David Beckham was formally knighted at Windsor Castle for his contributions to football and British society. Sir David expressed immense pride in receiving the honor, emphasizing his patriotism and admiration for the monarchy. He was accompanied by his parents, Sandra and David, and his wife, Victoria, who also designed his suit for the occasion. Sir David also recounted that King Charles had complimented his suit.
Another notable absence was Brooklyn's failure to attend Inter Miami’s victory over Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS Cup final earlier in December. David Beckham co-owns the team, which is led by Lionel Messi. Inter Miami secured a 3-1 victory against Vancouver, marking their first-ever MLS Cup win. David Beckham celebrated this momentous occasion alongside Victoria and their other children, Cruz, Romeo, 23, and Harper, 14. Sir David hailed it as the "ultimate dream."
With the Instagram blocking accusation adding another layer to the narrative, the Beckham family drama continues to captivate public attention. Whether the reported social media snub is a genuine reflection of deeper issues or simply a misunderstanding remains to be seen, but Cruz Beckham’s intervention suggests that tensions within the family are still running high.
