Ranveer Singh & Akshaye Khanna's 'Dhurandhar' continues box office dominance, exceeding ₹530 crore. It surpassed 'Gadar 2' even with 'Avatar' in theaters.

The film 'Dhurandhar,' starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, has sailed into its third week, smashing records along the way. Despite the release of the Hollywood blockbuster 'Avatar Fire And Ash,' Aditya Dhar's directorial venture has maintained a strong position at the box office. Contrary to expectations, 'Avatar' did not impede 'Dhurandhar's' success; in fact, the film experienced growth on its third Saturday after a slight deceleration the previous week.

Notably, 'Dhurandhar' earned ₹253 crore in its second week, surpassing its first-week earnings of ₹207.25 crore – an unusual feat. While the movie's performance slowed on its third Friday, with collections of ₹22.5 crore, a resurgence occurred on Saturday, with a 52 percent increase, bringing in ₹34.25 crore. The momentum continued into Sunday, day 17, with ₹19.33 crore collected by the afternoon. As of now, the movie's total earnings stand at ₹536.58 crore.

'Dhurandhar' has also eclipsed the lifetime collection of Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2,' which amassed ₹525.7 crore.
