Dhurandhar box office Day 7: Blazing 1st week for Ranveer's film, past Rs 200 crore

Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar is making all the noise at the box office. The film has stormed past the benchmark of Rs 200 crore nett in India, wrapping its first week business at around Rs 218 crore, reported the film's team. The Ranveer Singh starrer has recorded an incredible first week at the ticket window, with its seventh day collection at par with its opening day business.

Dhurandhar opened at Rs 28.60 crore nett on Friday, and on its first Thursday, it earned Rs 29.40 crore nett -- proving how word-of-mouth has benefited the film during weekdays.

The kind of trend that it's showing worldwide happens only in the case of a festive release, but Dhurandhar seems to be breaking that mould.
Dhurandhar is a spy-thriller, exploring the gang-wars, politics and terrorism nexus inside Pakistan. The film has been appreciated for its strong casting, storytelling, music, performances and the statement that it makes.
At this pace, it is expected to record a bigger second weekend than its opening weekend. The film continues to collect in double digits and is likely to continue its upward momentum at the ticket window. The elite Rs 500 crore nett club looks like a cakewalk now.
