Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandhar,' starring Ranveer Singh, shatters box office records, surpassing 'Pushpa 2' for the biggest second week in Hindi cinema after a record-breaking Tuesday.
Aditya Dhar's action-packed spy thriller, Dhurandhar, continues its record-breaking box office run. The film has achieved the highest second-week earnings ever for a Hindi film, surpassing the previous record held by Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule, which earned 196 crores net. Dhurandhar achieved this feat in just five days.
The Ranveer Singh-led movie has shown impressive growth domestically. Following record-breaking daily collections in its second week, Dhurandhar continued its strong performance with the biggest second Tuesday earnings, nearly doubling the previous record.
Early estimates suggest that the first installment of the two-part action film is projected to earn between 29 and 31 crores net on its twelfth day, which is on par with its second Monday earnings. This impressive performance has pushed Dhurandhar past the 200 crore net mark in its second week, making it the only Hindi film to reach this milestone.
As of its second Tuesday (day 12), Dhurandhar's total collection has exceeded 410 crores net, and it's on track to surpass 450+ crores by the end of its second week. Predictions for the film's lifetime earnings are difficult to make at this stage, but current trends suggest it is likely to reach 700+ crore net.
Dhurandhar's performance is proving to be exceptional, with its second week poised to outperform its first, which itself generated over 200 crores net. The film's ultimate potential remains uncertain. It could challenge Pushpa 2's record as the highest-grossing Hindi film, but its performance will depend on the releases of Avatar 3 and TMMTMTTM in the coming weeks.
