Dhurandhar Becomes First Bollywood Film to Have Entire Soundtrack in Spotify Global Top 200

Aditya Dhar's spy thriller, Dhurandhar, is making waves beyond the box office, achieving unprecedented success in global music streaming. The film has become the first Bollywood production to have its entire soundtrack featured in Spotify's Global Top 200.

While individual songs from Indian films have gained international recognition, Dhurandhar sets a new benchmark. All 11 tracks from the movie are simultaneously trending on the Spotify chart, showcasing the album's widespread appeal as a complete work.

The soundtrack made a strong debut, landing at number 2 on Spotify's Global Top Albums chart. It also broke into the US market, reaching number 5 on the US Top Albums chart. Leading the pack is the film's high-energy title track, currently at number 3. Close behind are the emotional tracks "Ishq Jalakar" and "Karvaan" at number 5, with "Gehra Hua" holding a solid position at number 7.

The music is the creation of National Award-winning composer Shashwat Sachdev, also known for his work on Uri: The Surgical Strike. He crafted a diverse sonic landscape for Dhurandhar, mixing cinematic scores with contemporary hip-hop and heartfelt ballads. Sachdev expressed humility upon hearing the news.

"I never envisioned this album as a numbers game," Sachdev said. "Dhurandhar was created with trust, friendship, and a deep love for the music. Seeing all eleven tracks charting is deeply humbling. This achievement belongs to every artist, musician, and engineer who poured their heart into these songs."

This milestone suggests a change in how global audiences are experiencing Indian cinema. Instead of just viral songs or dance crazes, listeners worldwide are engaging with the complete narrative experience offered by a Bollywood soundtrack. The album includes collaborations with artists like Hanumankind and Diljit Dosanjh, alongside experimental genres. FA9LA, a track infused with Bahraini influences, has also successfully connected Gulf hip hop with mainstream Bollywood.

With the film approaching ₹500 Crore at the box office and its music dominating global charts, Dhurandhar has become a cultural phenomenon. This marks a resounding victory for Bollywood.
