Jasprit Bumrah, part of India's T20I series against South Africa, was filmed snatching a fan's phone at an airport after a warning was ignored.
A video circulating on social media shows Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in a heated moment at an airport. The incident involved Bumrah taking a fan's phone after the fan allegedly ignored a request to stop recording him.
The confrontation occurred while Bumrah was standing in a check-in queue. The fan was reportedly taking a selfie video that included Bumrah without obtaining his consent. According to reports, Bumrah initially asked the fan to stop filming. When the fan did not comply, Bumrah took the phone from the individual. Following a brief discussion, the phone was returned.
Bumrah is currently playing in the T20I series against South Africa. He played in the first two matches, taking two wickets in the first and none in the second. He missed the third match due to personal reasons. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed his absence. The series is ongoing, with the fourth T20I scheduled for Lucknow and the fifth in Ahmedabad. India currently leads the series 2-1.
