Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin is preparing for its 37th New Shepard mission (NS-37), scheduled to launch from West Texas on Monday, December 18, 2025. The mission will carry six passengers on a suborbital flight, taking them across the Karman line, the internationally recognized boundary that defines the edge of space.

The launch window opens at 8:00 PM IST. The event will be livestreamed on Blue Origin's official website.

**Meet the Crew of NS-37**

The NS-37 flight boasts a diverse group of individuals:

  • Michaela Benthaus: An ESA engineer and wheelchair user, Benthaus is a strong advocate for space accessibility, driven by her personal experiences with a spinal cord injury. She has prior experience on a Zero-G research flight and an analog astronaut mission.
  • Joey Hyde: An astrophysicist whose interest in space was ignited by his grandparents' taking him to the launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis in 1988. This experience propelled him to earn a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and to mentor aspiring scientists.
  • Hans Koenigsmann: A seasoned rocket expert who played a key role in the development of reusable launch vehicles at SpaceX. He continues to contribute his expertise to the aerospace sector.
