A Flipkart employee in Bengaluru reveals the company's flexible winter work culture, where staff often work remotely or use leave around the holidays.
Simrann M Bhambani, an assistant brand manager in Flipkart's marketing department, recently shared insights into the company's work culture during the winter season. In an Instagram video recorded at the Bengaluru airport, Bhambani explained how employees often take advantage of flexible arrangements around the holidays.
According to Bhambani, many Flipkart employees in Bengaluru tend to work from home or use their remaining vacation days starting around December 20th. She recorded the clip while heading home for the holidays.
Bhambani noted that while work continues during this period, the option to work remotely provides a welcome change. She also mentioned that traveling earlier helped her avoid more expensive tickets. The experience, she said, reminded her of school vacations. "It reminds me of school and I am already feeling like I am a kid, and I have my winter break and I am going home,” she stated in the clip.
Bhambani concluded the video by saying she looked forward to seeing her colleagues back in the office in the new year. “Can’t wait to be home,” she captioned the post.
In just an hour, Bhambani's video received nearly 100 likes and over 2,300 views. HT.com has contacted Simrann M Bhambani for additional information and will update this report upon receiving a response.
