Jasprit Bumrah missed the third T20I against South Africa for personal reasons, while Axar Patel was sidelined due to illness. South Africa made three changes to their lineup.
India's Jasprit Bumrah was unavailable for the third T20I in Dharamsala, having returned to Ahmedabad for personal reasons. Axar Patel was also out of the match due to illness.
India won the toss and chose to field first, citing the already dewy conditions.
Bumrah's absence led to Harshit Rana's inclusion in the team. Rana's batting ability at No. 8 then allowed Kuldeep Yadav to join Varun Chakravarthy, the mystery spinner, in the lineup. Chakravarthy is just one wicket shy of his 50th T20I wicket, while Kuldeep is among the five bowlers globally with 50+ wickets and a better average.
South Africa also made three changes to their XI after leveling the series in New Chandigarh. Tristan Stubbs, Corbin Bosch, and Anrich Nortje replaced David Miller, Lutho Sipamla, and George Linde.
This leaves Aiden Markram and Donovon Ferreira as the only spin options for South Africa.
Here are the lineups for both teams:
**South Africa:** 1 Quinton de Kock (wk), 2 Reeza Hendricks, 3 Aiden Markram (capt.), 4 Dewald Brevis, 5 Tristan Stubbs, 6 Donovan Ferreira, 7 Marco Jansen, 8 Corbin Bosch, 9 Anrich Nortje, 10 Lungi Ngidi, 11 Ottneil Baartman
**India:** 1 Abhishek Sharma, 2 Shubman Gill, 3 Tilak Varma, 4 Suryakumar Yadav (capt.), 5 Hardik Pandya, 6 Shivam Dube, 7 Jitesh Sharma (wk), 8 Harshit Rana, 9 Varun Chakravarthy, 10 Arshdeep Singh, 11 Kuldeep Yadav
