James Cameron recently caught everyone’s attention by saying he would end the Avatar franchise for good if Avatar: Fire and Ash (Avatar3) ends up flopping at the box office. It’s a bold claim, but it also shows the kind of belief he has in what he has made.
Indian audiences have been waiting for the ticket sales to open, and the domestic distributor has now confirmed the date. Bookings will start on December 5, 2025, across all languages: English, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
The demand is expected to be strong. There is genuine curiosity around the third film, and the trailer has been received well by most viewers.
Avatar 3 sees the return of Sam Worthington and Zoë Saldana, with James Cameron and Jon Landau producing. Those planning to watch the film in IMAX in India should know that the format will be available only in English and Hindi.
