Apple releases iOS 26.2 update for iPhones with Liquid Glass customisation, offline lyrics, and more

Apple has rolled out iOS 26.2 for iPhones, bringing highly anticipated customization options for the Liquid Glass design introduced in September. The update also includes offline lyrics for Apple Music, enhanced security features, and improvements for gamers and podcast listeners.

Users can now fine-tune the transparency of the lock screen clock, a direct response to feedback regarding the Liquid Glass interface. Apple Music subscribers can now access song lyrics even without an internet connection. The update also delivers improved safety alerts for users in the US.

Beyond these key features, iOS 26.2 introduces auto-generated podcast chapters, improved gaming controls, and AirDrop verification codes. A redesigned Apple News navigation is included, along with Live Translation support for AirPods users in Europe, finally available after regulatory delays.
