Aneet Padda discusses her connection with Ahaan Panday, her Saiyaara co-star, amidst speculation about a romantic relationship between the pair.
The on-screen connection between Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in 'Saiyaara' has captivated audiences, leading to speculation about a real-life romance. Both are relatively new to the film industry.
The pair were recently seen at an airport, sharing laughs and conversation, which only fueled the rumors. Even Karan Johar has hinted at the possibility of Ahaan and Aneet becoming Bollywood's next 'It' couple.
That said, the reality is a bit more complicated. Aneet Padda recently offered some insights into her relationship with Ahaan. She explained that their chemistry, both on and off-screen, developed naturally, much like a close friendship.
In an exclusive interview with LiveMint, Aneet revealed that she and Ahaan connected instantly, even before filming began for 'Saiyaara.' While she didn't directly address the dating rumors, she shared her first impressions of her co-star.
"When I met Ahaan for the first time, I knew that I was going to be very comfortable with this person…There was something very disarming about him,” she stated.
Aneet recalled being nervous during her first meeting with Ahaan and director Mohit Suri. "I was messing up a bit, I was cracking jokes that weren’t landing, and woh bechara phir bhi has raha tha!" she said, emphasizing Ahaan's positive reaction.
She described Ahaan as a “fantastic presence,” and knew almost immediately that a strong friendship would form. "He played the guitar, we sang songs, chatted a lot in the car when he came to drop me home, and that’s when I thought he was a fantastic presence to be around,” Aneet told LiveMint. “I really liked him and his energy.”
According to Aneet, they became close friends in the months leading up to the shoot, sharing their anxieties and insecurities. She added that they supported each other throughout filming, making her feel secure and at ease on set.
"I think when two people genuinely become great friends, you don’t have to plan the chemistry on screen,” Ahaan Panday said. “…whatever happens, happens naturally and effortlessly.”
'Saiyaara,' which was released in July 2025, reportedly grossed over ₹500 crore worldwide. The film quickly gained popularity among fans, and its subsequent release on Netflix in September generated considerable buzz.
For those who can't get enough of Ahaan and Aneet's on-screen magic, 'Saiyaara' is set to premiere on television. The World Television Premiere of the romantic drama will be on Sony MAX on December 20th at 8 pm.
