Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' continues its box office success, earning ₹15 crore on Sunday, bringing its total to ₹61 crore.


Nandamuri Balakrishna's latest film, 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam,' is proving to be a box office hit, accumulating approximately ₹61 crore net in its first three days. The movie sustained impressive momentum throughout its opening weekend, culminating in ₹15 crore in collections on Sunday.

The film has enjoyed strong audience occupancy, especially during evening showings, demonstrating Balakrishna's enduring popularity with mass audiences.

According to Sacnilk, 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' recorded approximately ₹15 crore in India net earnings on Sunday, pushing its total India net collection to around ₹61 crore within three days. Following a paid preview on Thursday, the film opened strongly on Friday. While Saturday saw a slight dip, Sunday's figures remained robust. Positive audience reviews appear to be contributing to the film's successful weekend performance.

Audience Occupancy Reflects Strong Support

On Sunday, December 14, 2025, 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' achieved an overall Telugu 2D occupancy rate of 51.77 percent. Evening shows performed exceptionally well, exceeding 70 percent occupancy. Afternoon showings also experienced strong attendance. Morning shows had moderate turnout, while night shows maintained steady numbers. The Telugu 3D version saw a slightly lower overall occupancy of 35.52 percent, with afternoon and evening shows again outperforming morning and night shows. In Tamil-speaking regions, the film's overall occupancy was recorded at 16.23 percent.

Balakrishna's mass appeal is once again a key factor in the film's success.

'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' is directed by Boyapati Srinu. The film features Samyuktha Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Saswata Chatterjee alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna.
