Aishwarya Rai Bachchan clarified at the Red Sea Film Festival that daughter Aaradhya is not on social media, with online pages being unofficial. She also discussed her own limited social media use, emphasizing professional engagement and the importance of disconnecting from online noise to reconnect with reality and value real-world interactions over digital validation.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was recently at the Red Sea Film Festival where she spoke about her career, journey and more. During this conversation, the actress also spoke about her presence on social media while clarifying that her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan is not on social media. The actress clarified that the pages already circulating online are not created or monitored by their family. While thanking well-wishers, she stressed that none of those profiles represent her daughter. Aishwarya married actor Abhishek Bachchan in 2007 and their daughter Aaradhya was born in 2011. Aishwarya stated, "The things that are out there, sometimes people believe that's hers, no it isn't. There is some well-wisher out there who's made it, I guess. Obviously it comes from a place of love for Aaradhya, for my family, for my husband, for me, and you know, thank you for all your love, but that isn't her, she's not on social media."

She also opened up about her own limited social media engagement. The 'Taal' actress shared that she primarily uses these platforms for professional communication and collaborations, while acknowledging the influence digital spaces now hold. "The thing about social media is that they are a part of life today. It is used as a platform to engage, to kind of share your professional work, for companies that engage with you to want to put the communication out, for colleagues to want to kind of encourage people's possible career opportunities. Yes, there's a lot of positives in that. But, there's a lot. Everybody is on their phone, and everybody gets consumed. So that is our reality, there's no turning away from it," she explained. The actor spoke thoughtfully about how digital exposure can impact one's emotional well-being and authenticity. She encouraged people to detach from the constant online noise and reconnect with what truly matters. "It's important to shut out the noise, it's important to sieve through, it is important to recognise that this is not really the fulcrum of your existence. This cannot be the validation of your truth. And if you find yourself getting lost in that, you need to detox, you need to cut off and get back in touch with your own reality. Because keeping it real is becoming more and more important," she said. The actress also referenced ongoing discussions about age-based regulations for social media usage worldwide. She emphasized that nothing replaces direct human interaction, urging people to value the moment they are in. "Engage with people around you, engage with the person in front of you. It is rude to kind of, you know, completely disengage with the person in front and feel it's much more important at that minute to respond to something else on the phone." She further added, "It's all right if you're not giving me likes, not watching my posts, it's fine. Please engage with people around you. That is so much more important. And I will applaud that and back that any day to you sitting and looking at even my posts." On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen in the 2023 release 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'. She has prefered to choose quality over quantity when it comes to work, ever since she embraced motherhood and enjoying it to the fullest.
