Skoda Slavia facelift's equipment upgrades will be similar to those of the Skoda Kushaq facelift, recently spotted on road tests

Equipment upgrades for the Skoda Slavia facelift will be similar to those of the Skoda Kushaq facelift, which has also been spotted undergoing road tests
Skoda Slavia is currently the second best selling sedan in its class, trailing only its own sibling, the Volkswagen Virtus. Both these sedans are being updated, with launch expected in 2026. Latest spy shots of the Skoda Slavia facelift, credited to automotive enthusiast Harsh Shah, provide clues to the potential updates at the front, side and rear. Let’s check out the details.
Skoda Slavia Facelift – What’s new?
As can be seen with the test mule, the Skoda Slavia facelift has a refreshed front and rear profile. While the signature grille design has been retained, one can notice a new design for the headlamps and LED DRLs. Finer details cannot be seen due to the camouflage. Fog lamp housings also appear to have a different design, as compared to that of the current model. The lower grille now features a 3D design finished in piano black.
Side profile does not see any major changes. Only exception could be a new set of alloy wheels. The test mule has blacked-out alloy wheels and its spokes appear different from those of the current model. Features that have been carried over include the conventional door handles, blacked-out B-pillars, dual-tone ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and circular wheel arches.
Slavia’s coupe-like silhouette ensures a sporty, youthful presence for the sedan. The roofline tapers elegantly and merges seamlessly into the boot lid. At the rear, Skoda Slavia facelift could get refreshed tail lamps and some touch-ups to the bumper. Design of the boot lid and positioning of the registration plate appear to be the same as that of the current model.
New equipment
Inside, Skoda Slavia facelift could get a refreshed dashboard with a revised touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. However, the most important update could be Level 2 ADAS. Skoda Slavia is already rated as one of the safest cars in the country with a 5-star rating in Global NCAP crash tests.
Addition of Level 2 ADAS will further enhance the sedan’s safety credentials. It will also help get better ratings in the upcoming stricter NCAP safety protocols. The ADAS package could include features like blind spot detection and avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning and avoidance assist, driver attention warning, safe exit warning, leading vehicle departure alert and high beam assist.
Rivals like Hyundai Verna and Honda City already have ADAS. Competition is set to intensify in this space, as the Verna facelift is also due in 2026. While Slavia currently has a lead over Verna, the facelifted Verna can get the buyers’ attention with its comprehensive range of equipment upgrades. The same applies to Volkswagen Virtus facelift, which is expected to get updates similar to the Slavia facelift.
Same engines
Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to continue with the existing engine options. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. It is offered with transmission options of a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AT. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine generates 150 PS and 250 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
