The 2025 Tata Sierra SUV has garnered significant interest, with 70,000 bookings and over 1.35 lakh confirmations on its first day. Deliveries begin January 2026.

Tata Motors began accepting reservations for the new Sierra SUV on December 16, 2026, and the vehicle has already seen considerable success. The company reports an impressive 70,000 bookings were placed on the first day alone.

In addition to the bookings, Tata states that over 135,000 customers have submitted their preferred vehicle configurations, marking their intent to finalize their purchase. Deliveries of the Sierra are slated to begin on January 15, 2026.

The Sierra represents a significant comeback for Tata in India's competitive SUV market. The initial customer response indicates that Tata has successfully captured consumer interest with the new Sierra.

**More About the Tata Sierra**

The Sierra nameplate enjoys a cult following dating back to the 1990s, a time when SUVs were less common. The new Sierra aims to revive that legacy with a modern design.

The Sierra is available in seven monotone color options: Andaman Adventure, Munnar Mist, Bengal Rouge, Coorg Cloud, Pristine White, and Pure Grey.

Customers can choose from seven different personas or trim levels: Smart Plus, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Adventure Plus, Accomplished, and Accomplished Plus. Prices range from Rs 11.49 lakh to Rs 21.29 lakh.

**Onboard Features**

The Sierra boasts a feature-rich interior, including a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 10.25-inch digital driver's display and an additional 12.3-inch display for the front passenger provide entertainment options. Other features include a 12-speaker JBL sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, manual Boss mode for the front passenger seat, rear window sunshades, dual-zone climate control, and keyless entry with push-button start/stop.

**Safety Features**

Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control, hill assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a 360-degree camera system with front and rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring (TPMS), and Level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). Tata has conducted internal crash tests on the Sierra, anticipating a 5-star rating when it undergoes Bharat NCAP testing.

**Engine and Transmission**

The Sierra debuts the brand's new TGDI turbo petrol engine. During testing, the SUV reached a top speed of 222 kmph at NATRAX, but the speed will be limited to 190 kmph for safety reasons. Transmission options include a dual-clutch automatic (DCT) and a torque converter automatic (AT).
